Lynne Mignemi, Livingston County’s probation director, has been honored as a 2024 Exemplary Public Servant by American City & County. The award recognizes her leadership in probation services, suicide prevention, and mental health advocacy within the county.
Mignemi spearheaded initiatives like the Lock & Talk program to reduce access to lethal means and co-founded the Step by Step Support Group to help those grieving sudden losses. She also leads annual awareness events aimed at breaking the stigma surrounding mental health crises.
Beyond mental health efforts, Mignemi has improved transportation access through a regional mobility tool. Already recognized locally for her contributions, officials praise her as a compassionate leader who has significantly impacted community well-being.
