Some witnesses say individuals were taken from an apartment building known to house migrant workers. Local advocates assisting immigrant families say many are afraid to go to work or send their children to school.
New York State Police, the Ontario County Sheriff, and Geneva Police say they have no knowledge of the operation and have not been asked to assist. Federal agencies have yet to respond to inquiries.
