North Rose-Wolcott Elementary School went into lockout Tuesday morning after an unfounded phone threat. Wayne County deputies investigated and found no credible danger, confirming the caller had no ties to the school or community.
The school day was canceled for elementary students, with buses rerouting children home or to a designated location.
Classes at the district’s middle and high schools continued, and the lockout was lifted by 11:15 a.m. Officials emphasized their commitment to student and staff safety.
