JetBlue now allows U.S. customers to pay for flights using Venmo, providing a seamless option through jetblue.com, with mobile app integration coming soon. This move aims to enhance convenience for travelers, according to the airline.
JetBlue has faced challenges, including a $2M fine for chronic delays and a blocked merger with Spirit Airlines. To reduce costs, it discontinued hot meals for economy passengers on transatlantic flights and trimmed seasonal routes.
However, the airline plans to add value with an 8,000-square-foot lounge at JFK’s Terminal 5, set to open in late 2025.
