The Wayne County Highway Superintendent Association donated $500 to the Heavy Equipment Repair and Operations program at the Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES Technical and Career Center.
Superintendent Abram Boerman presented the check, encouraging students to pursue careers in the highway department, highlighting competitive pay and benefits.
Students showcased their simulation room, used to develop technical skills, during the visit. Principal Andy McVey emphasized the donation’s impact, supporting students like Class President Bryce Redmond in achieving their career goals.
