The No. 2 seeded Buffalo Bills held off a late comeback attempt by the No. 3 seeded Baltimore Ravens to secure a thrilling 27-25 victory on Sunday night at Highmark Stadium. With the win, the Bills advanced to the AFC Championship game for the first time since the 2020 season.
Buffalo entered halftime with a 21-10 lead, but Baltimore fought back in the second half, coming within two points of tying the game. A potential game-tying two-point conversion with 1:44 left slipped away when Ravens tight end Mark Andrews dropped the pass near the goal line. Cornerback Rasul Douglas then recovered the onside kick to seal the victory for the Bills.
Buffalo will face the Kansas City Chiefs next Sunday at 6:30 p.m. with a Super Bowl berth on the line.
Josh Allen completed 16-of-22 passes for 127 yards while contributing two rushing touchdowns. James Cook led the rushing attack with 67 yards, and Ray Davis added a rushing touchdown. Khalil Shakir topped the Bills’ receiving corps with six catches for 67 yards.
The defense delivered a standout performance, forcing three turnovers, including two fumbles and an interception. Damar Hamlin led the team in tackles and recorded a sack, while Greg Rousseau also registered a sack. Taylor Rapp secured the interception, and both Hamlin and Terrel Bernard forced fumbles to cap off the defensive effort.
