Seneca County Sheriff’s Office holds swearing-in ceremony for new, returning, and promoted deputies

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office celebrated a swearing-in ceremony on Thursday honoring a promotion, a return from retirement, and the addition of a new deputy to the team. The event took place at the Law Enforcement Center in Romulus, with family, friends, and agency members in attendance.

Daniel Steele was promoted from Deputy Sheriff to Sergeant, recognizing his dedication and service to the department. Also celebrated was the return of Deputy Christopher Felice, a retired member who has rejoined the force, and the addition of Deputy Josef Shaffer, the newest member of the Sheriff’s Office.

“On behalf of the men and women of the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, I would like to wish the three of them the very best in the future. We look forward to their contributions and leadership,” Sheriff Timothy J. Thompson said.
