The Lions Club of Sodus will hold the Lions United Vision Event on January 14 and 16 at the Sodus Community Library, offering free vision screenings for children ages 3 to 17 with parental consent.
The event honors Lions Club founder Melvin Jones and marks the centennial of Helen Keller’s challenge to the Lions to become “Knights of the Blind.” Director Jay Woodruff emphasized the importance of promoting eye health and ensuring children have access to essential vision resources.
Community members can share their experiences using the hashtag #LUVSight. For more information, contact [email protected].
