Sabres’ three-game win streak snapped with loss to Stars

The Buffalo Sabres three-game win streak ended Tuesday night with a 4-2 road loss to the Dallas Stars.

Buffalo (14-20-4) battled from two deficits to tie the game but Wyatt Johnston’s go-ahead goal 11:32 into the third period lifted Dallas (22-13-1) to victory.

Jason Zucker and Beck Malenstyn scored for the Sabres. Bowen Byram tallied an assist, three shots, and a game-high five blocked shots.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 29 saves on 32 shots, denying several Grade-A scoring chances to keep Buffalo in the game.

The Sabres continue a four-game road trip on Thursday when they visit the Colorado Avalanche at 9 p.m.
