The second man involved in a 2023 shooting and stabbing outside an Auburn bar received prison time Thursday, The Citizen reports. Matthew Williams-McIntyre, 28, of Geneva, was sentenced to 4.5 years in state prison for second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
The incident occurred at Harley’s Pub on State Street in November 2023. Prosecutors said Williams-McIntyre brought an unlicensed 9 mm pistol and handed it to his codefendant, Angelo Diaz III, who shot a man in the chest. Another victim was stabbed in the throat. Williams-McIntyre expressed regret for his role.
Diaz received a 10-year sentence in October for attempted murder and assault.
