Families within the Newark Central School District who need a day’s supply of food can now turn to the Newark Reds Emergency Food Pantry for assistance.
Parents can request food by calling 315-332-3200 ext. 2231 or filling out an online form available through ParentSquare or Facebook.
“This is a temporary aid, not a long-term solution,” said Julia Solan from the NCSD Innovation & Grants Department, adding that families will also be connected to ongoing resources like SNAP.
Arrangements for receiving the food will be coordinated individually, as food pick-up will not occur at the pantry site.
