Buffalo Sabres captain Rasmus Dahlin and his teammate Peyton Krebs got into a fight at Monday’s practice after Dahlin landed an open-ice hip check on Krebs.
Teammates quickly intervened to break up the skirmish.
Head coach Lindy Ruff wasn’t too concerned about the incident.
“Boys will be boys,” Ruff said. “(Dahlin) got bumped (the drill) before and then evened up the score. I wouldn’t read too much into that. We want competitive practices.”
Krebs said afterward that he and Dahlin are on good terms.
