Freeville Man Arrested for Meth Possession After Incident at Southern Cayuga High School

A Freeville man faces charges after being found in possession of methamphetamine early on August 16 at Southern Cayuga High School. The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies discovered Micah E. Pado, 33, inside a clothing donation shed on the school’s property around 3:45 a.m.

Deputies initially observed a vehicle parked near the shed and saw a person walking away as they arrived. Upon investigation, Pado was located inside the shed and attempted to deceive officers by providing a false name. After further inquiry, deputies found that Pado was in possession of methamphetamine.

Pado was arrested and charged with False Personation, a B misdemeanor, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, an A misdemeanor. He was issued appearance tickets for Venice Town Court and subsequently transferred into the custody of the New York State Police due to an outstanding bench warrant.

Authorities are urging anyone with additional information regarding this incident to contact the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office at 315-253-1222 or leave a tip online.
