A section of Route 34 in Brutus will be closed on Monday, August 14, for paving work on the bridge over the Seneca River. The New York State Department of Transportation announced the closure will affect the stretch between Ditmar and Stickle roads from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
During the closure, temporary detours will guide northbound traffic west on Route 31, north on Route 38, and east on Route 370 to reconnect with Route 34. Southbound traffic will follow a similar detour in reverse.
The DOT noted that the construction schedule is weather-dependent and advised drivers to exercise caution in the work zone.
