The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced an urgent recall of Full Circle Market Coconutmilk Chocolate Almond Crunch Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert due to undeclared cashew content, posing a serious threat to individuals with cashew allergies. The recall affects products distributed by G.S. Gelato & Desserts, Inc., and sold in eight states.

The recalled product, sold in 1-pint cartons with lot number 041624L2 and best before date of 10/15/2025, has been found to contain a cashew milk product instead of coconut milk, leading to the potential for severe allergic reactions. The cartons, mislabeled with “Full Circle Market” branding but containing “Nature’s Promise” cashewmilk product, were shipped to distribution centers in Georgia, Massachusetts, and New York, and then to retail stores in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
No adverse reactions have been reported so far, but consumers with cashew allergies are advised not to consume the product and to dispose of it or return it to the place of purchase. For more information, consumers can refer to the full recall notice on the FDA’s website or contact G.S. Gelato & Desserts directly.
This recall underscores the importance of accurate labeling and consumer awareness regarding potential allergens in food products, particularly those with long shelf lives like frozen desserts.
