Scott Comegys, Democratic candidate for New York State Senate District 54, began the 100-day countdown to the General Election with a weekend tour through Livingston, Ontario, and Wayne counties. The tour featured community engagements, including a barbecue in Honeoye, the Naples PRIDE Celebration, and the Walworth Festival in the Park.
During his visits, Comegys emphasized the importance of hope and community support, collecting donations for local food cupboards. He was joined by James Schuler, Democratic candidate for the New York State Assembly, highlighting their commitment to volunteerism and community service.
Comegys pledged continued support for local food cupboards and stressed the need for diverse representation in Albany. “Each individual I met highlighted different concerns and needs. Our district deserves a senator who listens to everyone,” he said.
The General Election is set for November 5 where he will face off against incumbent Republican Pam Helming.
