Open House for Seneca Meadows set for July 28

The annual open house at Seneca Meadows, the essential waste management and recycling facility located at 1786 Salcman Road in Waterloo, will be held Sunday, July 28 from noon to 3pm.  The annual family event which is free and open to the public will feature a free chicken BBQ provided by Ace Automatics, a bounce house for kids and photos with heavy equipment. The public is also invited to bring their classic or show car or motorcycle and participate in the auto show.  Registration for the car show is free, and donations will be accepted benefiting afe Harbors of the Finger Lakes.

There’s more. Stanton Automatics will provide classic stand up video games.  Finger Lakes Radio Group will being doing a live remote from noon – 2pm along with chances to win prizes and cash in the money machine. 

Guided bus tours of the facility that navigate to the top of the landfill along with a variety of fun interactions with the many components that go into the Seneca Meadows operation will also be offered. The essential workforce of Seneca Meadows will be there to answer all the questions into what it takes to protect the environment and meet or exceed New York State’s Climate goals for the future.
