Livingston County Honors Longtime Employees at Ceremony

Livingston County celebrated its 27th Annual Employee Recognition Ceremony today, honoring dedicated employees for their long service.

Held at the Government Center, the event recognized 33 employees who have served the county for 10 or 25 years. Honorees received commemorative blankets or custom stoneware crocks. Board Chair David LeFeber expressed gratitude for their commitment, stating, “We are grateful to each one of them for their passion and commitment to public service.”

Among the honorees were Undersheriff Matthew Bean, Senior Typist John Hope, and Highway Department Administrative Manager Elaine Szoczei, each recognized for 25 years of service. Bean highlighted his pride in serving his community, Hope appreciated the team spirit in the Department of Social Services, and Szoczei praised her coworkers and dedication to efficient use of taxpayer dollars.
