The Puerto Rican restaurant at 24 Chapman Ave., part of a Syracuse-based chain, reopened on May 13, according to its Facebook page. Renovations included new siding to replace flaking paint and exposed wood. The New York State Department of Taxation and Finance seized the restaurant in November over a tax debt of $88,088.31.

Open since 2015, the restaurant serves Puerto Rican dishes like roast and fried pork, chicken with rice and beans, stews, mofongo, and fritters.
