SFPD: Dawg recovering and available for adoption after animal cruelty case

  • / Updated:
  • Staff Report

Dawg, a nine-month-old German Shepherd mix, is now available for adoption after recovering from an incident earlier this spring. Seized during a police arrest on May 20, Dawg has been cared for by the Beverly Animal Shelter and is now in good health and ready for a new home.

Dawg has shown great resilience and spirit during his recovery. Anyone interested in adopting Dawg can contact the Beverly Animal Shelter at (315) 539-9357 for more details.

Samantha Briggs, 20, was arrested for Overdriving, Torturing and Injuring Animals; Failure to Provide Proper Sustenance, commonly known as “Animal Cruelty” after the puppy was found in poor conditions.

The Seneca Falls Police Department thanks the Beverly Animal Shelter staff for their exceptional care and compassion, which has been crucial to Dawg’s recovery.
