Sheriff Brian Schenck reported that on May 18 at approximately 1:59 a.m., Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Peter J. Henderson of Throop for Driving While Intoxicated following a traffic stop.

A deputy on patrol observed Henderson’s vehicle failing to use a turn signal while making a right turn onto Route 38. During the subsequent traffic stop, the deputy determined that Henderson was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

Henderson was charged with Aggravated DWI (a misdemeanor), DWI first offense (Common Law), and Failure to Use Turn Signal. He was processed and released with a scheduled court appearance in the Town of Throop Court on May 28.
