The Rosenkrans Local Market, an Auburn meat market located in the historical building at 35 Columbus Street, has shut its doors permanently, according to a Facebook announcement by the owners last week.

The business, opened in 2021 in a space once occupied by Indelicato’s Meat Market, cited personal reasons for its closure, emphasizing the challenges of managing a business while raising a young family.

They said the demands of operating the market alongside family commitments and concerns for safety led to their decision.

The Rosenkrans family extended their gratitude to local businesses and customers who supported them throughout their operation, committing to honor all recent gift card purchases.
