Syracuse men’s lacrosse falls just short at Notre Dame

The No. 3 Syracuse men’s lacrosse team fell just short in a 14-12 loss to No. 1 Notre Dame at Arlotta Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

With the loss, Syracuse dropped to 9-3 on the season and 1-1 in the ACC.

Syracuse trailed by six going into the fourth quarter but outscored Notre Dame 5-1 to make it a two-goal game before falling just short.

The offense was paced by Finn Thomson, who had three goals and one assist. Michael Leo and Christian Mulé each added three points. Leo had two goals and one assist, while Mulé dished out three assists. Luke Rhoa (2g), Owen Hiltz (1g, 1a), and Jake Stevens (1g, 1a) were the other Orange performers to tally multi-point days. Will Mark recorded 15 saves.
