Walworth man charged after fleeing Canadice crash

A man from Walworth is facing charges after allegedly fleeing the scene of a crash that launched a large-scale search. According to New York State Police, Jason Fredericy, 38, was found in a wooded area after his vehicle was discovered empty along County Road 37 in Canadice.

The incident began around 8:10 a.m. when a resident reported hearing a crash. Responding officers closed the road and conducted a multi-agency search involving state troopers and local officials to locate the missing driver.

Fredericy now faces several charges, including leaving the scene of a crime and multiple traffic violations. He was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Canadice Town Court on July 24.
