The Geneva Police Department took a city resident into custody on Exchange Street after an investigation and struggle.
Rachel Woodhams-Vasquez, 39, was arrested for probation violation, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and resisting arrest.
While being taken into custody, the 39-year-old fought with officers and attempted to escape custody.
Police say the charges will be answered at a later date.
