The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team opened up an 18 point lead at halftime of their ACC match-up with the Virginia Tech Hokies on Tuesday night before a crowd of 20,244 at the JMA Wireless Dome. Just as they had on Saturday against Notre Dame, they let the Hokies climb back. Virginia Tech cut the lead to 7 points midway through the second half but, this time, the Orange was able to respond and pull-away to a 84-71 win. Their 19th win on the 2023-24 season with three games remaining on their regular season slate.
Syracuse’s start sophomore guard Judah Mintz led all scorers in the game with 28 points on 10-17 shooting from the field and a perfect 8-8 from the free throw line. Mintz also dished out 6 assists on the night.
