A vigil is set to be held at 5 p.m. outside the Kodak Center to honor the victims of a tragic crash that occurred on New Year’s Day.
This public remembrance follows the calling hours held on Saturday for Justina Hughes, one of the victims, where friends and family gathered at the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home in Geneva to celebrate her life.
Hughes was a passenger in a ride-share vehicle along with her friend Joshua Orr, who also lost his life in the incident. The crash claimed another victim, 54-year-old Dawn Revette, who police believe was a pedestrian and who succumbed to her injuries on Friday.
The community is coming together to remember the lives lost in this heartbreaking event. The vigil at the Kodak Center will provide a space for public mourning and solidarity in the face of this tragedy.
