Fillmore Days 2023, held at Fillmore Glen State Park in Moravia, promises new entertainment this year, including a tub race and a youth bicycle race. Instead of building and transporting their own tubs, participants can rent one for $20 for a team of four. The bicycle race, designed for youth aged 6 to 15, follows the tub races with options for kids to bring their own bicycles or borrow one.
Adding to the fresh attractions, Fillmore Days is hosting a Cornhole Tournament, sponsored by Scott’s Custom Cornhole, on Saturday, August 12. This double elimination competition, with both social and competitive divisions, starts at 11 am. Interested participants can register via the Scoreholio app or through the Scoreholio website.

The festivities begin on Thursday, August 10, with the Forge the Gorge trail run at 6 pm, where participants can choose either a 3.5 or a 7-mile loop through the scenic state park. On Friday, August 11, musical performances kick-off with Undefeated, a sibling trio from Upstate New York, followed by high-energy classic rock and country group, Tailor Made. Both days will feature food and beverage vendors and massage therapists on site.
Saturday promises a day of family-friendly activities starting from 10 am with a variety of food, beverage, and craft vendors, and massage therapists. The morning will host pedal car races for children aged 4 to 8 at 11 am, followed by a parade at noon, and the eagerly anticipated tub races at 1 pm. A large lawn games area will be available for children of all ages. The Fillmore Days event, organized by the Friends of Fillmore Glen, seeks to draw people to enjoy the scenic Fillmore Glen State Park in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Entrance is $1, with regular state park parking fees applicable but reduced to $5 for Saturday’s events. More information and registration details can be found on the event’s website.
