The New York Mets have agreed to a one-year, $6 million contract with outfielder Tommy Pham on Wednesday, according to ESPN’s Buster Olney. The deal is pending a physical and includes two million in incentives.
The 35-year-old slashed just .236/.312/.374 over 144 games for the Cincinnati Reds and Boston Red Sox in 2022.
Pham will serve as New York’s fourth outfielder and will DH mostly against left-handed pitching.
The Mets were in on Andrew McCutchen and Adam Duvall before signing Pham.
