Seneca Falls woman charged with drug possession after traffic stop

A Seneca Falls woman was arrested last week following a traffic stop that led to drug-related charges and the discovery of an outstanding warrant.

On July 10, officers with the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department took 54-year-old Dawn M. Beta into custody during an investigation into a vehicle and traffic law violation.

During the stop, Beta was allegedly found in possession of controlled substances. She was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.

After processing, Beta was released on an appearance ticket and turned over to New York State Police due to an active warrant.

She is scheduled to appear in Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date.
