Gas prices tick upward across New York

Gas prices are headed up across the Finger Lakes and Central New York.

According to the latest data from AAA, locations across Western and Central New York saw increases from last week’s report.

The national average for a gallon of gas was up six cents to $3.28. In New York, the state average ticked up to $3.45.

That’s an increase of five cents since last Monday.

The Southern Tier saw an increase of one cent per gallon.

Prices are expected to climb after the gas tax holiday ended earlier this month.
