The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team had its two-game win streak snapped on Saturday evening with a 73-64 loss to the Virginia Cavaliers at John Paul Jones Arena. With the loss, Syracuse dropped to 10-6 on the season, while Virginia improved to 11-3.
The Orange trailed 35-26 at the half and was down 23 points at one point but clawed their way back before falling just short.
Joe Girard led Syracuse with a game-high 19 points. Judah Mintz netted 18, and Maliq Brown poured in 10.
