A long-watched renovation in Groton is finally nearing completion, with apartments and a new restaurant on the way, according to The Tompkins Weekly.
The historic Groton Hotel plans to open seven apartments by Aug. 1, offering short-term stays across newly restored upper floors. Downstairs, an Irish-themed restaurant is aiming for a soft opening around Groton Olde Home Days.
Crews have preserved original features while adding new touches like a mahogany bar and outdoor patio. Local leaders say the project is bringing new life — and long-awaited energy — back to a key Main Street landmark.
