Retired Auburn firefighter Terry Winslow will run for Auburn City Council next year.
He’s the first candidate to emerge since Councilor Jimmy Giannettino announced a bid for mayor.
Winslow enjoyed a 20 year career with the fire department. He served as interim chief, as well.
His experience isn’t tied exclusively to the department, though. Winslow served with the U.S. Coast Guard and worked as a contractor for the Department of Homeland Security.
He currently directs security for Auburn Community Hospital.
According to The Citizen, Republican Councilor Tim Locastro has not decided whether he will seek another term in 2023.
