Rochester Red Wings drop 13th straight with extra-inning loss to Columbus

The Rochester Red Wings dropped their 13th straight game with a 3-2 loss to the Columbus Clippers in 10 innings on Wednesday night at Huntington Park.

Daniel Ponce de Leon started for Rochester and surrendered two runs over five innings while striking out seven.

The Red Wings plated their two runs in the top of the third inning. Jake Noll smoked an RBI single to left, and Riley Adams worked a bases-loaded walk.


Columbus tied the game in the bottom of the fourth on Bo Naylor’s two-run shot.

In the bottom of the 10th, David Fry walked it off with a single to right.

Mason Thompson allowed the walk-off hit. Alberto Baldonado, Reed Garrett, and Luis Avilian had scoreless outings.

Rochester will try to snap their skid on Thursday at 7:05 p.m.
