Troopers: One dead after crash in Schuyler County, investigation continues

State police say they are investigating a fatal crash that happened on State Route 14A last week in the town of Reading.

Around 7:16 p.m. on July 9 police were called to a stretch of Route 14A for a crash in Schuyler County.


Upon arrival, troopers found a vehicle operated by 42-year-old Brandy Stalhman, of Horseheads had drove off the road near the intersection with State Route 226.

Her vehicle collided with a tree. She was pronounced dead at Schuyler Hospital.

The investigation remains active.
