Flames broke out Tuesday morning in a bedroom at 3272 Reading Road but didn’t spread beyond that room, according to the Watkins Glen Fire Department.
The 8:30 a.m. fire left behind smoke, heat, and water damage. Firefighters found the woman who lived there already outside. No one was hurt.
Multiple agencies helped out, and investigators are still working to determine the cause.
