California taxpayers can soon expect up to $700 stimulus payments, and some could even see an additional $350.
The state will start sending the payments to qualified residents in October along with the $350 bonuses.
These payments were approved under the state budget so they can be sent in 2022.
Direct deposits or prepaid debit cards will be sent out.
What you receive will depend on your income.
How much will the stimulus payments be?
What you see will depend on your income, filing status, and household.
Single filers making up to $75,000 could see a payment of $350.
Joint filers making up to $150,000 could see up to $350 per person, or a total of $700.
Those that claim a dependent could see even more stimulus cash.
At least one dependent will bring in another $350.
This means a married couple getting the most and claiming at least one child will see $1,050.
The higher someone’s income is, the less the payment will be.
If a single filer makes between $75,000 and $125,000, they will see $250.
Couples making over $150,000 but under $250,000 will see $500.
Claiming a dependent with these incomes will bring in another $250.
Couples who make up to $500,000 will see $400 plus an extra $200 if they claim a dependent.
Single filers making up to $250,000 will see $200 plus another $200 if they claim a dependent.
