Colorado residents to see up to $1,000 in stimulus tax rebates

Colorado residents will soon see stimulus tax rebates worth between $500 and $1,000 depending on filing status.

stimulus cash residents will see in Colorado for the stimulus tax rebate

Governor Jared Polis announced that any Colorado resident who filed their taxes by June 30, 2022, can expect a stimulus payment.

The amount of the stimulus rebates depend on your filing status.

Colorado stimulus payments

As an incentive for filing state taxes by June 30, as well as a way to offset the costs of inflation, rebates will be sent this summer.

Those who file as single will see a payment worth $500.

Married couples filing jointly will see a payment worth $1,000.

While those who filed by the deadline of June 30th will see  stimulus payments in August, anyone who files after will see payments later.

How will the Gas Rebate Act of 2022 work?

The extension deadline is for the middle of Oct., so anyone who files by then will still see a stimulus rebate.

Unfortunately, you won’t see the stimulus tax rebate payment until next January in 2023.

In addition to filing a return by June 30, 2022, residents may have also applied for the 2021 Property Tax/Rent/Heat Rebate Credit by the same date to qualify.

Qualifications for the stimulus payment

In order to qualify, residents need to be full time.

They need to be at least 18 as of Dec. 31, 2021 and file a tax return even if they did not have taxable income.

If you filed by April 18, 2022, you do not need to take additional steps to receive the credit.
