New Jersey man arrested for burglary in Lyons

Police say a New Jersey man was arrested following a burglary investigation in Lyons.

According to a news release, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested John P. Lipert, 25, of New Jersey on a warrant for burglary, grand larceny, and criminal mischief.


The charges stem from an investigation into a burglary that occurred in Lyons. It is alleged that Lipert unlawfully entered a building on Cole Road and stole several tools. It is further alleged that during the incident, Lipert did damage to the building and vehicle parked at the location.

Lipert is due to appear in County Court at a later date to answer charges.
