Police say a Rochester man was arrested following investigation into a traffic stop.
According to a news release, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Matthew C. Neureuther, 38, of Fairport for driving while intoxicated.
The charges stem from an investigation into a traffic stop in the Town of Williamson where it is alleged that Neureuther was operating his vehicle erratically on State Route 104. He failed standardized field sobriety testing at the scene resulting in his arrest. Once at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Offices he refused to submit a chemical test. He was additionally charged with failure to keep right, failure to give 1/2 the roadway to oncoming traffic, and refusal to submit a breath test.
Neureuther is due to appear in the Town of Williamson Court at a later date to answer charges.
