Voluntary workouts started Tuesday for several teams across the NFL, including the Buffalo Bills. However, one key player was missing.
According to Jon Scott of Spectrum News, safety Jordan Poyer was absent and is reportedly looking for a long-term extension with Buffalo.
Poyer, 30, is entering the final year of his contract. A few weeks ago, Poyer hired a new agent, which is likely a sign that he wants to get a deal done before the season starts in September.
Poyer signed with the Bills as a free agent in 2017.
The All-Pro safety is coming off an outstanding season. He notched 93 tackles, including eight for loss, with three sacks, nine passes defended and five interceptions.
