There is a new UBI program that brings aid to residents of Austin, Texas who are struggling.
The recipients will get monthly payments for a year.

UBI, or Universal Basic Income, provides guaranteed income in the form of monthly payments to select Americans. Read more about it here.
This program will help out 85 residents of Austin, Texas. Families facing eviction, or those who are recently homeless are who the program is aimed to help.
Information on application, selection, and qualification process isn’t available yet. The launch date for the program is also unclear.
A spokesperson from the Equity Office made it seem as though more information would be available after the programs heads to the council. $1.1 million was allocated for this program from the budget.
