Police say a Sodus man was arrested following a disturbance complaint.
According to a news release, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Brett H. Heers, 51, of Sodus for criminal mischief, criminal obstruction breathing, and harassment.
Heers allegedly grabbed and pulled the victim into his residence, placed her in a chokehold, and refused to phone authorities to call for help. The victim was able to get away and ran into a nearby residence to get help and call 911.
Heers was remanded to the Wayne County Jail where he is pending arraignment.
