The Seneca Falls Development Corporation (SFDC) is set to host a meeting on Wednesday at the Seneca Falls Community Center, unveiling $365,000 in available funding through the Downtown Building Improvement Fund. This initiative, supported by the New York State Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI), aims to encourage the second round of applications for building enhancements in the downtown area.
Eligible projects can receive up to $100,000 in DRI Building Improvement grants, covering up to 50% of total project costs, or 75% for non-profit entities. These funds are designated for facade, storefront, and commercial interior renovations. Additionally, projects incorporating residential units above ground level may qualify for extra funding—up to $25,000 for 1-2 units and $50,000 for 3 or more units, with a cap of $150,000 per building.
The informational meeting, scheduled for 6 p.m., will also be accessible via Zoom for those unable to attend in person, ensuring widespread community engagement and participation in this revitalization effort. Interested parties are encouraged to register online to learn more about how they can contribute to the rejuvenation of Seneca Falls’ downtown.
