Pandemic related emergency SNAP benefits will end this June.
The government assistance program is being updated in Indiana.
What is happening to my benefits?
In March 2020, the US government allowed Indiana to issue “emergency allotments” to help households who already use SNAP to help out during the pandemic. Click here to read more.
This allowed SNAP families to get the maximum benefit allowed based on the number of people in the household. Based on recent changes to Indiana law, the last month many people will receive the emergency benefit will be May 2022.
Starting June 2022, the SNAP benefit received will be how it was before the pandemic. Eligibility factors include household size, income, and allowable deductions.
