Police arrested a 47-year-old Clifton Springs man following a child pornography investigation.
According to a news release, Gary Lyman Jr., 47, of Clifton Springs was arrested on January 26 and charged with possession of an obscene sexual performance of a child.
It’s alleged that Lyman possessed hundreds of images and videos depicting young children engaged in sexual acts with adults. This arrest is the result of a continuing investigation into his activities after he was arrested on similar charges in December.
On December 22, 2021 Lyman was charged with disseminating indecent material to a minor. He’s accused of having a sexual conversation with what he thought was a 14-year-old over the phone.
After Lyman discussed meeting up with the would-be 14-year-old, he was met and arrested by a detective.
Lyman was processed on the new charges and released on an appearance ticket to answer them at a later date.
He’ll appear again in court in February, according to police, who say the investigation remains active.
