Corning-Painted Post schools announces upcoming budget proposal

The Corning-Painted Post Area School District is set to present its 2024-2025 budget proposal on Wednesday, April 17. The unveiling will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Board of Education building located at 165 Charles Street in Painted Post. The district has announced that the meeting will not be livestreamed.


In preparation for the upcoming school year, the district has also scheduled a “Personal Voter Registration Day” on May 7, 2024, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the same location. This will be followed by another budget hearing on May 14, providing multiple opportunities for community engagement and feedback.

The final decision on the budget will be made during the Election and Voting Day on May 21, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., which will also include the election for three Board of Education seats, each carrying a three-year term.
