Correction issued for Seneca County infrastructure survey in Sewer Districts #1 and #2

  • / Updated:
  • Staff Report

County Manager Kyle Lovell announced a correction to the contact information provided in the recent survey letters sent to residents of Sewer Districts 1 and 2. The letters mistakenly listed the Seneca County Clerk, Christina L. Lotz, as the main contact, instead of the County Manager’s office. Lovell has directed residents with questions to contact him directly at [email protected].

The income survey is part of an effort to secure grant funding for capital upgrades at local wastewater treatment plants to meet new state environmental standards. The project aims to mitigate financial impacts on residents by qualifying for state grants and zero-percent loans, potentially saving ratepayers up to $20 million.

Lovell apologized for the confusion caused by the error and emphasized the importance of the survey in obtaining crucial funding. Corrected letters will be issued by G&G Municipal Services firm to ensure residents have accurate information.
