The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Macedon man following an investigation into a crash that happened last summer.
According to a news release, on July 28, 2021 deputies were called to a crash with injuries on State Route 21 near the Bridge Pub in Palmyra. The call came in to deputies around 1:48 a.m.
It’s alleged that Christopher Everhart, 34, of Macedon was operating his vehicle erratically at a high rate of speed, and contributed to the crash. He was also found to be intoxicated, which contributed to the crash.
He suffered non-life threatening injuries and refused a chemical test at the time of the incident.
However, after a lengthy investigation Everhart was charged with DWI, moving from lane unsafely, crossing hazard markings, failure to keep right, driving to the left of pavement markings, reckless driving, and open container.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
